PERFECT PROCESSING
The Compo S Series achieves high-quality compost with no need for structuring agents or additives.
The Compo S-90 and Compo S-60 composting equipment can process any type of organic subproduct with no need to add any other material (structuring agents, additives, etc.), as long as the minimum conditions of moisture and calorific value are met.
The time that the subproducts must remain in the equipment is considerably reduced, approximately one week, and the quality of product obtained is significantly higher than the standard for the sector. In fact, by processing some subproducts, such as chicken litter or pig slurry, it is possible to elaborate a high-quality organic fertiliser.
Poultry Manure
The subproduct generated at laying hen farms is the most recoverable, and the one with which Compo composting equipment achieve the best performance, as they are capable of processing up to 12 tonnes a day.
The reason behind this is that the birds, having no teeth and shorter intestinal tracts, have a lower nutrient absorption. Therefore, their excrement is richer than that of other animals.
Thus, when composting chicken litter with Compo S, you obtain organic NPK manure, with great market value.
Pig Slurry
Pig slurry is also a very nutrient-rich subproduct, though it is much moister and more difficult to handle. Compo composting equipment optimise its processing and create high-quality organic NPK manure.
In this case, in order to achieve the best performance of the equipment, a phase separation must be performed before composting.
The Compo S-90 equipment can treat over 2,000 tonnes of the solid fraction per year, obtaining, as a result, a third of that weight in the highest quality organic manure.
Sewage Sludge
The Compo S can treat around 5 tonnes of sewage sludge a day, with a moisture level of 80%.
In this case, 5% of sawdust needs to be added to combat the binding effect of the polyelectrolytes present in the residue, and another 5% of an energetic material.
The product that is obtained can be used in agriculture as an organic amendment to improve the physicochemical properties of the soil.
Biowaste
The selective collection of biowaste has seen considerable growth in the past few years.
Compo equipment offers the best solution for its recovery, with no need for a structuring agent.
Using Compo S-90 equipment, you can treat over 1,000 tonnes of biowaste a year, obtaining a third part of that weight in high-quality compost.
This compost can be used as an organic amendment to improve the physicochemical properties of soil for gardening or agriculture.
Cattle Slurry
As is the case with pig slurry, the management of cattle slurry is a significant problem for cattle farmers, due to its high water content and the environmental impact it may have.
Compo S composting equipment offer an ideal solution for cattle slurry management, since they can treat up to 5 tonnes a day of these subproducts, with no need to separate the liquid from the solid fraction, and with the least environmental impact (preventing leachate and bad odours), obtaining as a final product high-quality organic amendment.
In order for the fermentation process to proceed correctly, it is necessary to add a small amount of some energetic material, as is the case for sludge.
